Mandates

Based on the Addis Ababa city government re-organization and promulgate the power and duties of the executive organs proclamation no. 64/2019, the Addis Ababa City Government Bureau of Attorney shall have the following powers and duties:

  • Act as the chief advisor and representative of the city government on legal matters

  • plan and coordinate the justice system reform program of the city; 

  • ensure and follow up the implementation of same as per the plan; provide support through identifying the gaps
